For Leeds, David Rennie replaced Peter Haddock at Left Back and Gary Speed replace Glynn Snodin at Outside Left at half-time. Then after eighty minutes, Russell Doig replaced Left Half Andy Ritchie. Bob Taylor and Ronnie Sinclair were unused substitutes. For Huddersfield, Paul France replaced Brown at right-back after seventy-seven minutes. Ian Bray, Junior Bent, Carl Madrick and Lee Martin were named as Huddersfield substitutes but did not play. J. McAulay of Leeds was the Referee.
